Agenda Culture & Going out

With its 'music houses' and off-road podia, musea and galeries, the banks of the IJ east of Central Station have developed into an important Amsterdam culture and recreational site. The Holland Festival and the China Weeks were here, as was the medieval music of Aqua Musica Festival.

And jazz, modern classical music, wild rock and outdoor parties. Via passages under the the railway and walking over new bridges you can reach the nearby Arcam architecture centre, the SMCS (Stedelijk Museum near Central Station), the maritime Scheepvaartmuseum and the science museum Nemo. Cool South-American dance besides symposia on architecture, variation everywhere. Beneath you'll find the agendas.
